Design for Excellence
Six-Year Strategic Plan Proposal
In 2003, the Chesterfield County School Board adopted a new vision statement:
“In 2012, we envision that every Chesterfield school will be a thriving, dynamic and inspiring educational environment that produces self-directed learners and stimulates citizens of all ages to trust in, invest in, and benefit from public education.”
This vision is the result of a year's work with the community and serves as the basis for revisions to the school division’s six-year strategic plan for the school division, directs the school division’s budget decisions and sets the parameters for capital
and other improvements.
Included in the information below is the approved six-year strategic plan for Chesterfield County Public Schools.
