Advisory committees comprise School Board-appointed community members who focus on specific topics in education. Throughout the school year, advisory committees for Chesterfield County Public Schools hold meetings that are open to the public:

The School Health Advisory Board will meet 7-9 p.m. on Sept. 14, Nov. 9, Jan. 11, March 8 and May 10 at the School Administration Building, 9900 Krause Road. Call 594-1757 for details.

The Special Education Advisory Committee will meet 4:30-6 p.m. on Sept. 16, Oct. 14, Nov. 11, Dec. 9, Jan. 13, Feb. 10, March 10, April 14 and May 12 at the Parent-Teacher Resource Center in the Fulghum Center, 4003 Cogbill Road. Call 594-1732 for details.

The Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee will meet at 8 a.m. on Sept. 17, Nov. 19, Jan. 21, March 18 and May 13 in Room 203 of the Chesterfield Technical Center, 10101 Courthouse Road. The committee will also meet 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Oct. 15 at the Chesterfield Technical Center. Call 768-6165 for details.

The Gifted Education Advisory Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 1, Nov. 5, Feb. 4, March 25 and May 6 at the School Administration Building. Call 594-1767 for details.
