Parent/Teacher Resource Center
Our
mission at the Parent/Teacher Resource Center for Chesterfield County
Public Schools is to serve as a liaison between home and school. Our
goal is to assist all parents to participate more fully and effectively
in their children's educational development, as well as to support
all teachers in gaining knowledge on diverse learners and other topics.
The staff at the Center is composed of a special/regular education
teacher and a parent with children receiving special and regular education
services. The PTRC staff seeks to promote a culture of excellence
as they support families and schools in their efforts to produce self-directed
learners. The staff assists families and schools in
- building a positive working relationship between home and school;
- understand the laws and responsibilities related to educating children;
- communicate effectively for the individual needs of children and
- developing
and maintaining needed supports within the community.
